Haven’t read this one yet either, as my TBR pile is a leaning tower of Pisa, but guys, I am so, so excited about it!

It just came out with Wednesday Books (St. Martin’s/Macmillan) and it’s a dark fantasy from a 22-year-old Wattpad star and Buffy the Vampire Slayer fan, a first in a series about “a young girl slowly becoming more monster than human.” I don’t know about you, but for me, that’s all I need to know!

Already, just this short description touches something deep and quivering inside me. Might this be one of our deepest fears of all?

Booklist gave this one a starred review and said, “Janneke’s epic journey to overcome past horrors and seize her rightful place in the world is packed with equally gripping action and emotion.”

Adding this one to the prizes for my commenters, subscribers and spreaders of the word! Let me know if this one sounds like something you’d be delighted to win.

Thank you for being here!

Love,

Katia

Sounds intriguing. What is Wattpad? Interesting twist! I’d like to read it!

Wattpad is a storytelling platform where anyone can post any stories, novellas, novels, anything. I think it’s mostly for YA and adult readers, not younger. But those writers entice readers with their stories, and the few who break out into million reads are of course quickly snatched up by the publishing industry!
