So I took my dog Lucky out last night. And when I came back to my apartment, there were these boxes outside.
And immediately, I got kind of scared. Like, roller-coaster scared. Thrill-scared. Because I knew that that meant.
Guys. It is unbelievable. The smoothness of these paperback covers. The realness of these pages. It isn’t even my name on the spine. It’s flipping through the pages and seeing the words in there, the words and phrases I know so well, the ones I typed late at night, early in the morning, while I waited for my baby’s dance lesson to finish, or more often, in this writing chair or that one.
That feeling.
Those of you know how long it took me to get here, maybe you can imagine.
Yeah.
