A Drifiting Friendship And A Giveaway

Nothing is constant in the Universe,  except change, great philosophers say. (Change — and love, I would add — sorry Heraclitus!)

    Oh, you surprised me with a giveaway! How fun!

    I based BFF on a real friendship with someone I met as an adult. We shared several brief adult years in which we walked daily, talked about husbands and our children, argued politics, and laughed & cried about what life dished up. We even caught a fish on the beach with our bare hands. I caught it. Maria carried it home.

    We seldom see each other any more. We don’t stay in touch but when I get back to her area I stop in and she sees me at her door and squeals and opens her arms and we are BFFs again for an hour or so while we catch up and she shows me her amazing art projects and plies me with food or drink. Then I have to leave again but I always do it with an amazed and really full heart.

    This book sounds fabulous; I would love to win a signed copy. Partly because I know the author from back in her husbands career as Pastor and partly because I would consider her to be the kind of person I would easily be able to catch up with and enjoy a friendship with. Friendship is a wonderful experience. It brings warmth, heartfelt love, a chance to build new hopes and find new dreams, growth, a richness to your life and qualities that make each friend unique and magical.     I love the idea of BFFs, but I must admit I’ve lost touch with a few of mine. I do cherish the friendships I began as an adult, though.

      That’s what happens, I guess. When you first become friends you need each other, you feed off each other. And then you learn everything you need to. You grow. You move on. I’ve noticed it tends to happen more with kids and teenagers. Thanks for helping to spread the word!!
